A few weeks ago I was visiting my aunt, and she made Bratwursts for a cookout - ever since then I’ve been craving them like crazy! 😜 I used Italian chicken sausage instead of traditional bratwurst to save on some saturated fat (that’s the unhealthy kind). 🤕 The brats in the store had 16g total fat, with 9g coming from saturated fat 🤯 Using chicken sausage that’s just as tasty provides only 1g saturated fat per serving 👌🏼
📸 This was so good, the smell even had Lexi licking her lips 😂

10 Italian chicken sausage links
2 yellow onions
2 bell peppers
1/2 cup beer
1 1/4 cup sauerkraut
5 Tbsp Dijon mustard
1. Slice onions and peppers. Spray skillet with olive oil spray, add onions and peppers, and sauté over medium high heat for 5 mins. Then, add 1/4 cup beer and cook for 10 more mins (or until onions start to brown).
2. Wipe out skillet, then spray with olive oil spray. Add sausage, and cook over medium high heat (rotating every 2 mins or so) for 6 mins. Then add the other 1/4 cup beer and cook for another 6 mins.
3. Place onions, peppers, and 2 brats in a bowl and top with 1/4 cup sauerkraut and 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard and enjoy! 😋
